Chapter 25: The Last Frontier – Skiing Through BOSCO’S
Destination: BOSCO’S, Anchorage
Brrr! Vidovi has flown far north to “The Last Frontier”: the breathtaking and freezing state of Alaska! He lands in snowy Anchorage, ready for his most chilling adventure yet.
His destination is the legendary BOSCO’S, the ultimate hub for comics, games, and pop culture in Alaska. The store is packed with passionate fans seeking refuge from the cold. Vidovi is looking for a creature that feels right at home in this weather: the elusive “Arctic Yeti” Blind Box.
Story Recap: The Slippery Aisle
- The Environmental Hazard: Vidovi spots the Yeti box at the end of a long aisle. But there’s a problem! Customers tracking in heavy snow have turned the polished floor of the aisle into a wet, slippery “ice rink.”
- The Fall: Vidovi takes one step and—Whoosh! Bam! He slips and lands flat on his back. He tries to stand, but his paws just slide comically. Walking to the display is impossible without falling over.
- The Alaskan Solution: Inspired by Alaska’s deep love for winter sports and the famous Iditarod culture, Vidovi looks around the comic shop for gear. He grabs two stiff, glossy Comic Book Backing Boards and straps them to his feet. Next, he borrows two Toy Lightsabers from a display to use as ski poles!
- The Graceful Glide: Swish, swoosh! Using the lightsabers for momentum, Vidovi glides gracefully across the wet, slippery floor like an Olympic cross-country skier. He reaches the display, safely retrieves the Arctic Yeti box, and celebrates his winter sports victory. Mission accomplished, he prepares to head back South to thaw out!
