Chapter 23: The Fog of War in Hot Springs

Leaving the desert heat behind, Vidovi travels to a place famous for a different kind of warmth: Hot Springs, Arkansas. Known for its natural thermal waters and historic bathhouses, this city is the ultimate relaxation destination.
Vidovi visits a vibrant, modern local favorite called JUICEBOX. It’s an awesome hybrid shop known for serving up fresh, healthy smoothies alongside a curated selection of toys and comics. Perfectly fitting the city’s aquatic history, Vidovi is here to track down the elusive “Hydro-Hero” Blind Box.
Story Recap: The Blinded Explorer
- The Target: Vidovi spots the Hydro-Hero box resting on a counter. But there’s a catch! It is located right next to a constantly hissing, humidifying steam vent from the shop’s heavy-duty juice and espresso machines.
- The Fog of War: As Vidovi leans in to grab the box, a massive cloud of hot steam erupts! Instantly, Vidovi’s glasses completely fog up. It’s the ultimate “Fog of War.” Utterly blinded by the condensation, Vidovi stumbles around comically, bumping into shelves and waving his paws in the air.
- The Bathhouse Solution: He needs to see! Inspired by the city’s famous “Bathhouse Row” culture, Vidovi finds a vintage, fluffy white towel. He wraps it securely around his head “spa-style” to keep the moisture out.
- The Clear Vision: Next, he grabs a small, rubber window squeegee used for cleaning the shop’s display cases. Squeak! He expertly wipes his foggy glasses crystal clear. Vision fully restored, Vidovi marches through the steam, grabs the Hydro-Hero box, and rewards himself with a refreshing, ice-cold fruit juice. Fully hydrated, he prepares to head North.
